It’s finally cooling off enough to shoot outside again, so posts with actual people will be coming soon, but in the meantime I have to rave about our experience at Casa Colombia yesterday. Seriously the best meal we’ve had since moving to Austin last year. It started off on the right foot with an amazing frozen concoction of champagne, fresh fruit juice, and coconut. I’m going to channel Rachel Zoe and say Bananas! Delicious. I could have had like 10.
Then it was on to dinner. I had the house special

Tender beef skirt, fried chicharron, and
egg over a bed of white rice, sweet
plantains, home style beans, a slice of
avocado and an arepa
Carne, chicharrón, un huevo sobre arroz,
frijoles rojos, maduros, una rebanada de
aguacate y arepa
And then there was dessert. So flan is one of my favorite desserts anyway … and then our wonderful waitress brought me this:
